Based on treatment processes, wastewater treatment equipment can be primarily categorized into: A/O (Anaerobic-Aerobic) processes for nitrogen and phosphorus removal; A2/O (Anaerobic-Anoxic-Aerobic) processes, an enhanced version of A/O offering higher efficiency in nitrogen and phosphorus removal; MBR (Membrane Bioreactor) processes, which combine biochemical treatment with membrane separation to produce high-quality effluent; and CASS (Cyclic Activated Sludge System) processes, developed from SBR technology and characterized by low investment costs and operational flexibility.
Additionally, based on treatment principles, wastewater treatment equipment can be classified into: physical treatment equipment (such as screening, filtration, sedimentation, and clarification units); chemical treatment equipment (such as coagulation and flocculation units); and biological treatment equipment (such as aerobic and anaerobic treatment systems).
