Based on their filtration and operating principles, grinding workstations are primarily categorized into wet-type grinding stations, dry-type pulse-cleaning grinding stations, and dust-extracting grinding workbenches. Wet-type grinding stations utilize water curtain filtration technology and feature explosion-proof designs; achieving purification efficiencies exceeding 99.5%, they are suitable for operations that generate sparks or flammable dust, such as metal grinding and polishing. Dry-type pulse-cleaning grinding stations employ an automatic pulse-jet dust cleaning mechanism and handle a wide range of air volumes (e.g., 5,000–10,000 m³/h), making them ideal for general dust extraction in factory workshops. Dust-extracting grinding workbenches-also known as multifunctional dust-extraction workbenches-integrate welding, grinding, and dust removal capabilities into a single unit; utilizing a down-flow principle and pulse-jet cleaning, they are primarily suited for small-to-medium-scale precision machining and the processing of irregularly shaped components. Additionally, these units can be classified by installation method-such as stationary or mobile-to accommodate diverse worksites and operational requirements. In today's era of increasing environmental awareness, failure to address these issues effectively can severely damage a company's image, leading to adverse consequences such as reduced production efficiency and increased manufacturing costs.
