Dry-type spray booths are a form of filtration-based dust and particulate removal equipment. They operate by capturing and purifying paint mist through mechanisms such as interception, impaction, and absorption, trapping the particles within the filtration media.
Within each filtration chamber of the dry spray booth, the arrangement of apertures creates a Venturi or cyclonic effect that forces paint particles to settle at the bottom of the chamber while allowing the airflow to exit through the openings; this high separation efficiency is derived from the Venturi effect. Depending on the characteristics of the coating material, separation rates can reach 96%. Even with heavy, viscous coatings, surface clogging rarely occurs, as the fibrous filter media effectively captures even the finest overspray particles.
